AAOMPTThe American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) is the United States’ representative organization of The International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapists (IFOMT). AAOMPT advocates for physical therapists in the orthopaedic manulal physical therapy setting and, with the APTA, credentials post professional fellowship training programs in the specialty of orthopaedic manual therapy. The Student Special Interest Group is particular active. A “Fellow” in AAOMPT is an international recognition of competence and expertise in the practice of orthopaedic manual physical therapy by a physical therapist licensed in the USA. Fellows serve their patients and the public by demonstrating excellence in clinical practice, education, and research. The official peer-reviewed journal of AAOMPT is the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy (JMMT), which features excellent open-access content each month.
